How this whole thing works.
This is a world building classroom. It is designed to function as much like a massive explorative game as it can be. There will be a story, quests, missions, badges, and a shop. All of these will help make the class fun and exciting and as customizable as the student desires. All of their activities will take place online in Google Classroom and will be using their Science Notebooks to help them complete each of the Missions and Quests. Make sure to check their progress online using their log-ins to see how they are doing.
Quests and Missions
As the story progresses throughout the year, students / cadets are required to go on missions to complete assignments in and out of the classroom to be as involved in the story as they can be. The more missions they do, the more involved in the story they are. The more they are involved, the more content they learn and they should learn a lot and do well with their grades. Missions allow cadets to earn experience, levels, and items.
Levels
When a mission is completed, not only can you earn items, but cadets can earn experience to level up. Each level requires more and more missions to reach it. With each level goal, cadets get to choose special rewards to customize their character and their in game life. They can earn new clothing for their avatar, items for their in game living space, and new ships to travel the galaxy with.
Badges
As cadets take on more and more in the Galactic Corps., they will be rewarded for outstanding performance. When a goal is reached or something cool has been done, cadets will get a badge to show off an amazing feet that have pulled off. Examples of such performance would be to reach a certain level in the game, answering many questions to the public board correctly, getting 100% on a test or a quiz, and even hidden ones. The more exploration and hard work that is done, the more badges you can get to show off to everyone in your fleet.
